Terms of Service

By adding and using the "Mel" Discord bot (hereinafter referred to as "the Bot"), you (hereinafter referred to as "the User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "the Terms"). Please read them carefully.

**1. Acceptance of Terms**

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developers and operators of the Bot (hereinafter referred to as "the Developers"). By using the Bot, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Bot.

**2. Description of Service**

The Bot is a Discord bot designed to fetch and display data related to the game League of Legends. This may include, but is not limited to, summoner information, match history, champion statistics, and other game-related data. The Bot retrieves this information from publicly available Riot Games APIs.

**3. User Conduct**

By using the Bot, you agree to the following:

* You will use the Bot in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
* You will not use the Bot for any illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes.
* You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the Bot's underlying code.
* You will not overload, spam, or otherwise disrupt the Bot's functionality or the Discord server on which it is used.
* You understand that the data provided by the Bot is based on publicly available information and the Developers are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of this data.
* You acknowledge that the Bot's functionality may be subject to change or discontinuation at any time without prior notice.

**4. Data Privacy**

* The Bot may collect and store certain information necessary for its operation, such as Discord server IDs, channel IDs, and user IDs for command processing.
* The Bot does **not** store sensitive personal information such as passwords or API keys.
* The Developers are committed to protecting user privacy and will handle any collected data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
* The Developers will not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent, except when required by law.
* You acknowledge that your use of Discord is subject to Discord's own privacy policy.

**5. Disclaimer of Warranties**

THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPERS DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE BOT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE BOT IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

**6. Limitation of Liability**

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE BOT, EVEN IF THE DEVELOPERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE DEVELOPERS' TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE BOT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ZERO.

**7. Indemnification**

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developers and their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of these Terms or your use of the Bot.

**8. Modifications to the Terms**

The Developers reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes to the Terms will be effective immediately upon posting on a publicly accessible platform (e.g., the Bot's support server or website). Your continued use of the Bot after the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.

**9. Termination**

The Developers may terminate your access to the Bot at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice. You may also cease using the Bot at any time. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

**10. Governing Law**

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

**11. Entire Agreement**

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developers regarding your use of the Bot and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
